history & philosophy

55 North Main Street began as the D&D Hardware Building in 1919 by Alfred Diefenderfer later with his D&D  Hardware partner Edward Dinwiddie. The Diefenderfer and Dinwiddie Hardware building also housed for many years the upstairs offices and practice of  “The Sagebrush Dentist” and namesake for Frackelton’s Fine Food and Spirits, Dr. William Frackelton; and just as you can today his name and signature molar could be seen on the Main Street window.
